Taylor had fun playing Ammon Girls Softball this summer and wants to do it again next year. Her team was the Yellow Flower Powers. Their team was sponsored by Eagle Farms that's why it says that on the back of her shirt. She had a really good coach that rotated them around the field and let them try different playing spots. Taylor liked playing left field. In little kids softball the left fielder stands just behind the third base line because they really don't need outfielders yet. A lot of the kids hit the ball toward left field and then Taylor could run up, grab the ball and toss it to the third baseman and get the runner out. She did this with quite a bit of success. One time though she grabbed the ball and tossed it to the base without looking; the player covering third was not there and it just hit third base and rolled off. It was a comical moment but Taylor was embarrassed. Her season is now over, which is nice because it is finally getting hot in the afternoons. This is good for my garden but not for sitting on an unshaded bench for 90 minutes!
Just standing in left field waiting for the play.
Taylor got pretty good at batting by her last two games she would hit the ball on the first or second pitch.
Everyone on the team got a medal for their excellent season.
